Yesterday was the first day of the NFL Draft. There are 6 rounds left to go and so far the San Francisco 49ers have picked Illinois wide receiver A.J. Jenkins. Projected to go mid 2nd-round to high 3rd-round, his first round pick was a surprise to most fans.

It took a couple months but police have finally nabbed one of the lead suspects sought for the March 31st beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow outside Dodger Stadium. Giovanni Ramirez, 31, was arrested early this morning by a S.W.A.T. team; authorities were tipped off by his – get this – parole officer.
The jury has spoken and the verdict is in: Barry Bonds is guilty – and not of being a douchebag who took steroids which allowed him to garner accolades he didn’t deserve – no, he was found guilty of “Obstruction Of Justice”. For the other three counts of perjury he was being tried for – a mistrial was declared.
