Snow in SF?

Yes, you read that correctly. Some crazy cold front sweeping down from Alaska may (the key word being “may”) bring snow to San Francisco. If we do get the white fluffy stuff, it will be the first time since 1976. Be prepared for mass chaos if it’s anything but light flurries and slush.

It’s Groundhog Day

Not that we San Franciscans should be complaining about crappy winter weather when the east coast was hit with three snowstorms in one week and Chicago now looks like this, but today is Groundhog Day (why do we even still follow this weird custom?) and Punxsutawney Phil did not see his own shadow, which means spring should be coming earlier this year!

Snow in San Francisco

Get out those snow suits because it’s going to be snowing in San Francisco this Sunday. Well, at least around City Hall. Mayor Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom are hosting a holiday party on December 12th and they’re inviting you. Yes, you. And they’re filling Civic Center Plaza with tons of snow to create a snow park for the kiddies. You can also go inside City Hall for some holiday cookies, hot cocoa, and entertainment by Magik Magik Orchestra.
