San Francisco police dismantled the Occupy SF camp at Justin Herman Plaza early Wednesday morning, arresting dozens of protesters in the process.
BART Shooting Protest Tonight
If you’re planning your evening commute, head’s up – there’s a BART protest (in response to the July 3 fatal BART police shooting of Charles Hill) scheduled for tonight inside the Civic Center BART station that may disrupt service and cause delays.
Rally for Public Schools
There will be a rally this afternoon against the annual recent budget cuts targeting public schools. Taking place in the Excelsior District, there will be a march starting at the SF Community School at 2pm followed by a rally from 3:30 – 4pm at 163 London Street.
Same Sex Marriage Ban Protest
Today is Valentine’s Day. For many it’s a day for giving and celebrating love, but for some it’s just an ugly reminder that love is not blind. If fact, love, marriage and discrimination go hand in hand here in California and in most states across the country. To fight this, there will be two rallies today in support of same sex marriage.
