Add this one to the list of financial woes plaguing the America’s Cup competition set to sail through SF in 2013. According to the city’s controller, the organization needs to come up with some cold hard cash and they need to do it now, or else taxpayers may be picking up the bill.

This morning, the UC Board of Regents approved (yet) another tuition rate hike. This following right on the heels of the California State University committee’s decision to increase tuition by 12%.

MoneyRates.com conducted a study that detailed the most difficult states (and best) in which to make a living. You may have a higher salary in one state than another but find your standard of living much lower. And guess what? California is the 4th worst state in which to make a living.
Possible Cab Fare Increase?
It’s hard to catch a cab in SF and when you do finally hale one down (or, most likely, you called the dispatcher – who’s rude – and the cab doesn’t even bother showing up), it’s pricey. And now fare prices are about to increase. Ouch. The $1.50 fare on Muni is looking better and better.
