We browsed the far depths of the Instagram ocean in search of killer local feeds and we’ve just discovered another one. Michael O’ Neal, a pro photographer based in San Francisco, takes amazingly picturesque photos that really capture the heart and soul of the city and surrounding areas.

As if the Mission weren’t arty enough, our friends over at Mission Loc@l have announced that they are launching a film festival and are putting out a call for submissions.

49ers in SF till 2014

There’s a reason our local NFL franchise is called the San Francisco 49ers and not the Santa Clara 49ers. But that reason is crumbling and cracking and needs to be seriously revitalized. Candlestick Park may have a great view, but it is a serious eyesore for both fans and team management. However, City Insider reports that Mayor Gavin Newsom (how long do we keep calling him that?) has hatched a tentative lease with 49ers President Jed York.
