Dolores Park Reopening
Kids, parents of young ones and drunk hipsters alike can rejoice this weekend – the Dolores Park Playground is reopening. And, man, it is fancy looking. Just think of all the escapades you can now get into at both 3pm and 3am.
SF’s American Hipster Channel Launches
Love ‘em or hate ‘em hipsters are here to stay. All you have to do is walk by Dolores Park on a passably warm day to see the hordes of unkempt, skinny-jean wearing hipsters lounging around in packs with their their track bikes and cases of PBR, taunting you with their indolence as you trudge to your office cubicle for work.
Defining a Hipster
What exactly is a hipster? Are they defined by where they live in the city (Mission, Lower Haight, the ‘Loin)? By how they dress and look (skin-tight jeans, thrift store finds, dirty, greasy hair)? Or their behavior (smoking, drinking PBR, hanging out in the middle of the day in Dolores Park, riding fixies)? All of the above?
