“Gay” Songs for the Holidays
The word “gay” has a variety of meanings, so when the HuffingtonPost featured a post, “The 21 Gayest Christmas Songs”, my curiosity was piqued. Was it going to be something rude, something serious or not? Well, it was a funny post for many reasons.

Goodbye DADT!
This morning President Barack Obama ended Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the 17-year old policy banning gays in the military. There were cheers and shouts of “Yes, We Can!” from the crowd as the President announced his signing of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Repeal Act of 2010. Since it was enacted in 1993, more than 14,000 military members have been discharged because of DADT.
Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Senate Vote
Today at 3pm (EST), the Senate will be taking a final vote for the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the ban on openly gay military personnel. If the repeal passes, it will then go to the White House. Cross your fingers that the 17-year old ban is finally abolished!
