Banning the Circumcision Ban
Forces, consisting of various community and religious groups as well as doctors, are gathering to now oppose the November ballot measure banning male circumcision in San Francisco. Several Jewish and Muslim leaders have called out the proposed ban as a violation of their cultural and religious rights.
President Obama in SF for 4/20
What better place to be in the country kicking off your next Presidential election than San Francisco on 4/20? What I want to know is which hapless staffer decided to kick off President Obama’s 2012 campaign on this day of all days in a town with pot dispensaries on every other corner and not notice the corollary. Really.
Chris Daly for Mayor?
SF Weekly reports that former supervisor and bar-owner Chris Daly may just throw his hat into the mayoral ring. Claiming that there are no other real progressives currently on the ticket, Daly feels compelled to run, if only to shake things up. Say it ain’t so.
