Bay to Breakers – Crazy Fun or Fun with the Crazies?
It’s that time of year again San Francisco. Time to grab your monkey suit (not that monkey suit, an actual costume to dress like a monkey or gorilla or whatever) for the 101st running of the Bay to Breakers race.

The Brides of March took over North Beach this weekend. Throngs of people dressed in their wedding whites paraded through the heart of San Francisco, strolling through Union Square, shopping at fancy stores and drinking in local bars.
Event: The Edwardian Ball
Squeeze into your corsets and don your top hats because this weekend’s the Edwardian Ball! Taking place tonight and Saturday at the Regency Ballroom, this two-day fest let’s you revel in all your be-costumed Gorey (Get it? Gorey as in Edward Gorey. Ahem). This event will be a turn of the century celebration of music, theatre, circus arts, bands, DJs, ballroom dance and fashion.
Real Life Superheroes
Looks like Seattle has a bunch of do-gooders guys who dress up in costume and fancy themselves superheroes dishing out vigilante justice. Wow. As one of my friends describes it, “Lame, real-life Watchmen?”
