The Mission may be one of the most diverse, and definitely the warmest, neighborhoods in SF. It’s rich with immigrant communities and artists’ communities alike and it’s usually in the center of any hotbed controversy. The site, Mission Local, does a fabulous job in covering the ins and outs of this dynamic district. Posadas on 24th Street

If you see a gaggle of kids singing carols at the various storefronts that line lower 24th Street in the Mission this evening then you ran into Posadas. And, no, I don’t mean Jorge Posada famed Yankees catcher – I’m referring to Las Posadas, a Latin American celebration during the nine days preceding Christmas.
