Today at 3pm (EST), the Senate will be taking a final vote for the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the ban on openly gay military personnel. If the repeal passes, it will then go to the White House. Cross your fingers that the 17-year old ban is finally abolished!

Since 2002 the Frey Norris Gallery has been showcasing some of the best artists in the world, and now they are saying goodbye….at least until February 2011 when they’ll be moving into their fancy new 5,100 square foot Gensler-designed digs in the Yerba Buena Arts District. Like The Jeffersons – they’re moving on up. So go by the Geary Street gallery for the closing party on Saturday, December 18th, 5-8pm, and raise a glass to many more years of good art.

Okay, okay – I had to write that headline. And, no, I am not talking about sketchy public coitus by the 16th Street BART. I’m talking, of course, about the old armory. Now the headquarters of Kink.com. Well, the Wall Street Journal finally caught wind of this illustrious porn haven and decided to pay them a visit. Ben Worthen reports that owner Peter Acworth now plans to turn part of the building into a community center.
