The recent night of vandalism along the Mission’s Valencia Street corridor wrought by a faction of the Occupy Movement on April 30th was taped and has now been posted on YouTube for the world to see.

Before I Die…
There’s a community-fueled public art project going on called “Before I Die”. It was started in New Orleans by artist Candy Chang and it was recently in Brooklyn, NY. Using simple stencils and chalk, it asks people what they would like to go/do/be before they leave this life.

The buzz generated by the opening of Marvel’s “The Avengers” this weekend, is giving a huge boost to the world of comics. Along with passionate, already established fans, a whole slew of new fans have cropped up. Thus, the timing couldn’t have been better for Free Comic Book Day.
