No Clothes in SF, Pay a Fine

San Francisco Supervisor Scott Wiener is making it pretty clear to nudists – put your clothes back on or else.

The supervisor has introduced legislation that would prohibit public nudity except in the case of some street fairs and parades.

Under the proposed legislation, violations could cost as much as $100 for a first offense and increase for each additional offense within a year.

This is Wiener’s second piece of legislation to address the issue of public nudity in San Francisco. Last year, the Board of Supervisors approved his measure which banned nudity in restaurants and outlawed sitting on benches or other public seating without first putting on clothes or laying something on the seat first.

State law only bans lewd behavior, which they have not deemed to include just nudity.
