Aaron Rodgers in a 49ers Jersey?

Posted by Keith Mizuguchi on Sep 12, 2012 | Comments (0)

Well it’s not exactly what Niner fans might be thinking.

As first reported by TMZ, the Green Bay Packers quarterback asked Boyz II Men, who are his friends, if they would sing the national anthem before Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field against the 49ers.

Only one request – a friendly bet that if San Francisco won, Rodgers would have to wear an Alex Smith jersey for a week. If Green Bay won, group member Nathan Morris would have to wear Rodgers jersey.

With the Niners winning on Sunday, 30-22, Rodgers was asked afterwards if he would pay up on the bet. Below is his response:

But Boys II Men did tweet that they still expect the bet to be paid off, although they understand Rodgers has more important things (a Thursday game against Chicago) on his mind.

And sorry 49ers fans, the California kid is not coming home to play for San Francisco.
