Ah, remember the days when a man could sport a mustache the size of Texas across his upper lip and be high-fived for his virility rather than being written off as a hipster or, worse, a creep?

While Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) of “Parks and Recreation” can rock a ‘stache like it’s nobody’s business:

and the ultimate ‘stache-man had the ladies (and gents) swooning:

and even this guy can sport a passable ‘stache”:

Not every guy is up to the task:

And although director Morgan Spurlock (a ‘stach man himself) is exploring male-grooming and hairy lips in his newest documentary, “Mansome” (opening this weekend):

They still don’t make them like they used to…
