Oakland Raiders Announce Special Ticket Program This Year

For better or worse, the Oakland Raiders have always had a reputation as “the bad boys” of the NFL, whether it was the way they acted off the field or the penalties they incurred on it. But that could be changing before our very own eyes.

In a terrific and very generous gesture, the team announced that they will donate a portion of ticket sales this year to the Oakland Unified School District.

According to the Raiders, for all new season tickets purchased and paid in full from May 1 to June 30, the team will donate 10 percent of the gross ticket purchase price to the school district.

“We are thrilled to announce our newest youth and community based initiative and we are delighted to assist the Oakland Unified School District,” said Oakland Raiders CEO Amy Trask in a statement.

The team opens the regular season on Monday, September 10 as they will host division rival San Diego at O.co Coliseum.
