Pair Of Giants Jam With Train

San Francisco Giants pitchers Barry Zito and Matt Cain are aces (at least Cain is) on the field but they were in a whole new environment on Sunday night.

Both players joined the group Train on stage.  The group was completing its weeklong residence in San Francisco with a performance at The Fillmore.

Train and lead singer Patrick Monahan had reached out to Zito and asked him to take part in the Sunday show. He couldn’t pass up the chance and joined the group late in their set, playing the guitar and singing “Save Me San Francisco.” Then Cain was brought up and he and Zito led the crowd in a rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

Zito has long been a music buff as his father composed and arranged music for Nat King Cole in the early 1960’s.
