Dolores Park Reopening

Kids, parents of young ones and drunk hipsters alike can rejoice this weekend – the Dolores Park Playground is reopening. And, man, it is fancy looking. Just think of all the escapades you can now get into at both 3pm and 3am.

After a long and often times controversial renovation, the Helen Diller Playground at Mission Dolores Park is finally back in action. The updated playground now features a 36′ super slide, custom-made ship wrecked boats, and an ADA accessible suspension bridge. Fancy!

On hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony will be Mayor Edwin M. Lee, Supervisor Scott Wiener, San Francisco Recreation and Park Department General Manager Phil Ginsburg, and Mrs. Helen Diller.

Includes: a hula-hoop performance, live music, face painting and snacks.
