Wyoming Gets Hyped up for The Hunger Games

Fans of the YA book series, The Hunger Games, have been avidly awaiting its big screen debut and the state of Wyoming is obviously no exception. State legislators have created and passed a “Doomsday Bill” to better prepare the state for either the Apocalypse or a Hunger Games-like revolution. You know, just in case.

I suppose the old adage applies: you can never be too prepared. According to the Huffington Post, the Bill, now heading towards Wyoming’s State House, “would create a special task force to study ways the state would handle such crises as a food shortage to a government shutdown. Some provisions that will be explored include Wyoming forming its own army and issuing its own currency.”

There’s also a small provision slipped into the Bill that requires every town in the state to force one boy and one girl, ages 12 – 18, to travel to the capital in order to take part in a fight to the death for the entertainment of the capital’s residents.
