President Obama Returns to the Bay Area

Posted by Keith Mizuguchi on Sep 26, 2011 | Comments (0)

President Barack Obama is back in the Bay Area, arriving at Moffett Field in Mountain View on Sunday night. Included on the president’s schedule were a series of fundraisers and a town hall meeting at LinkedIn on Monday.

Monday’s event at the Mountain View-based company, titled “Putting America Back to Work,” will be  a forum for a live audience of LinkedIn members and employees and online members nationwide. It will focus mainly on job creation and the economy.

This is not President Obama’s first foray into a technology-based town hall meeting. He has already participated in similar events involving Facebook and Twitter this year.

LinkedIn is inviting members to participate in the webcast by taking part in discussions via a group set up by the company, where they can share questions and comments for the president.

You can watch the live town hall meeting, scheduled for 11 a.m. either through LinkedIn or WhiteHouse.gov/live.
