BART’s Seat Lab

Posted by Anhoni Patel on Jun 22, 2011 | Comments (0)

Today (10am -4pm) in Justin Herman Plaza, BART is conducting a “seat lab” for their New Train Car project where they’re asking the public’s input on what they would like to new trains to look and feel like. If you hate the current BART car set-up, here’s your chance to add your two cents.

According to event organizers, “Sleek and silver, fantastic and futuristic when they were first introduced, those workhorse train cars are still running but nearing the end of their useful lives.

A new generation of train cars — the Fleet of the Future — will replace them. While the first of those new train cars won’t roll down the rails for several years, the project to replace them is well underway – and BART is seeking your input.”

If you can’t make it down to Justin Herman Plaza to try out the proposed new seats but still want to add your opinion, you can do so through this form.
