Privacy Concerns Over Apple Devices

Privacy watchdog groups and consumers are making their concerns known about Apple iPhones and iPads, which are collecting location data about their users.

A report at a recent technology conference in Santa Clara raised questions about how much privacy consumers surrender by carrying around a smartphone and also the responsibility of the smartphone makers to protect sensitive data in their devices.

Although researchers emphasize that there’s no evidence Apple itself has access to the data, it apparently stays on the device itself and the computers the data is backed up to.
